A high-performance team does not just happen. It is built through gaining an awareness of 6 core team success factors and then developing a structured and deliberate plan that targets the growth of each of the factors. To create an effective team there must be three core team factors working in sync. Leading an effective team involves awareness of these core factors and knowing how strongly they operate together within the unique team. To nurture an effectively operating team into a high-performance team requires three additional core factors to align: change adaptability and innovation, connections and resilience to stress. Quite often when a team is restructured the core technical elements are changed however less energy or emphasis is placed on softer elements, which ironically can be the hardest to change. This training programme will apply the 6-step framework to the context of your own specific team. We will work with the leader to identify each of the factors and apply them to the team context and, from this, identify key activities that can be undertaken to enhance team performance. A team performance assessment will be conducted, which provides a framework to enable team leaders to diagnose, explore and focus their attention on the relevant core factor(s) that impact on team performance. This assessment applies Harvard research into team performance, to focus on the link between the climate in which people work, their level of performance and the factors that impact on this performance.
