Course Description
Networks and collaborative relationships in an organisation are often invisible but can have powerful impact on the way operations, projects and programmes are conducted, and goals achieved. In complex organisations, one can except to find brokers, subgroups, influential connectors and networks that channel information selectively and play a powerful role in decision-making. The aim of this session is to better understand the informal processes of conflicts and co-operations are the undercurrent of organisational politics. In terms of objectives, we will explore (1) your leadership credentials and currency, coupled to networks within and beyond the organisation, (2) the power and potential of your relationships across the business, vital to the value you add, and therefore, (3) how maintaining your networks and understanding organisational politics is key to your leadership success. By the end of the session, participants are expected to be able to apply relationship skills that build and maintain relationships, become aware of the impact of organisational politics in programmes, projects and activities, and hone their leadership competencies. The Learning and building of essential skills and competencies for leadership and management functions will advance your capability, productivity and career. This online video conference session gives access to participants from all over the world, relevant to professionals across industries. The interactive session is composed of short presentations, exercises, case study, theory and practice, along with discussion and Q&As. It will provide a unique opportunity to gain insight, know-how, guidance from a highly experienced leadership and management practitioner, and build a personal network of like-minded people in the cohort. It is designed for those leading and managing people or are in executive functions. This is a half day (3 hr session) that can be delivered on a 1-2-1 basis, which provides dedicated attention or to a cohort (max 14 people). Group discount of 10% available for 4 or more people. Participants will be issued with a CPD completion certificate. Bookings will be confirmed upon payment of invoice. Payment via direct bank transfer is our preferred method.
